Our entry for visitors and secondary students is in the reception. You enter through the sliding doors into a friendly, open and welcoming space full of light. The reception is connected to all of the school, particularly the Administration and Admission offices and the library. Feel free to pop in to wait for your children, have a cup of coffee or ask your questions to our receptionist.
Every class has its dedicated room and specialised classrooms throughout the school, such as the labs, multi-purpose room, and the STEAM area. We want our classrooms to be light and inviting, allowing the children to look outside and see the vegetable garden next door. We also have lots of space for our teachers to display all the artwork the kids made.
Our recently upgraded Computing room offers a modern, purpose-built environment designed to enhance digital learning across the Secondary curriculum. Equipped with high-performance computers and up-to-date software, the facility supports subjects such as Design and Technology, Computing, and other areas where technology plays a central role. This state-of-the-art space enables students to develop essential digital competencies in line with current academic and industry standards.

Our courtyard is a place to play and unwind. This outdoor space gives our students fresh air while they relax with their friends. Whether they need to let go of their energy, run around, or hang out and talk with their friends, this is the place to be.
High above the hustle and bustle of our school, our rooftop is a dynamic space where secondary students converge for a unique blend of relaxation and active play. During break, the rooftop transforms into a social place where students unwind, chat, and build friendships. This space isn’t just for quiet moments; it resonates with the cheers of soccer and basketball enthusiasts engaging in matches.
Our library is a space for learning, reading and collaborative work. During the day, this space is open to our students for homework, reading a book and working together on projects. The mural in the library was part of a Y6 art project working with Vicente Marzal. The mural represents our differences while still representing the tight-knit community we are at Shackleton International School.
Our Shackleton kitchen has been up and running. With menus specially made by child nutritionists, we want to ensure our students eat healthy and feel fulfilled to continue learning. We adjust the menu where necessary for any dietary restrictions or allergies.
The dining room is a place where our students eat together. They are encouraged to try everything on their plate, thus expanding their horizons to different flavours.
